"The 8.15 from Man-chest-err!"

Presented by Ross King, who as I'm sure you all remember later graduated to daytime TV, and Charlotte Hindle, ex of Get Fresh. The second series added Radio One weathergirl Dianne Oxberry.

8.15 was a fairly standard effort from BBC North, "boasting" features such as It's Tough at the Top (a quiz / gunge fest), Rapattack and Photoromance. The most memorable thing about the show was the theme tune by the Inspiral Carpets. It may have been a thinly disguised reworking of their single 'Find Out Why', but it was still enough to ensure that the show was far trendier than, say, It's Wicked.

Perhaps the second most memorable thing about the show was that it included the first re-runs of Rentaghost for several years, allowing an entire generation to re-evaluate the greatest cheapskate children's pantomimic sitcom the BBC had ever produced. Duller inserts included the cartoons Rude Dog and the Dweebs, The Jetsons and Defenders of the Universe.
