This sequel, as it were, to Get Set For Summer was harmless enough, but pretty dull. Again made by BBC North West, it inexplicably ran for three years, finishing when Curry went off to join Blue Peter, and no-one remembers it.

Maggie Philbin transferred across from Saturday Superstore (presumably nothing to do with her later falling-out with Cheggers, as they were still married at this point). She resumed her old Swap Shop role as the "out and about" presenter, with the oddly-named Mobile Picture Unit. The majority of the programme was presented from a rather small and unimpressive set, partially livened up by a bank of televisions.

• Started earlier than most other Satkids shows - 8.30am! An unkind person might say that it needn't have bothered.
• (Ooh) Gary Davies was 'pop reporter' in the 1985 series.
• Cartoons included Bullwinkle and Rocky, Godzilla (again), and Popeye.
• ...but most famously, Top Cat. Bombarded by requests from viewers to know just what the bloody hell the lyrics to Top Cat were (or Boss Cat, as the BBC were still calling it), the Sat Pic Show contacted Hanna Barbera to find out. The bit everyone was having trouble with was "close friends get to call him T.C., pro-vid-ing it's with dignity".
